Embers Festival reflects our ambition to make arts education and knowledge accessible to a wider audience. Where new writing festivals typically have an emphasis on showcasing work that is ready for performance, Embers Festival is an opportunity for creatives to gain support in developing their creative practice.

At Embers Festival you’ll find workshops on writing, panels to give you industry knowledge, and performances to ignite your creative spark!

Embers Festival is also the first stage of training for our Writers Room, which is a free yearlong playwright development scheme. Participants on our Writers Room will begin developing their full length plays during Embers Festival, so be sure to say “hi” when you see them!
